Angelone and Team to Speak on Capitol Hill
Jan 01, 2008, Robert Angelone, Ph.D., Chairman of The Epicurus Group will be accompanied by Thomas Springer, JD on a visit to Capitol Hill in mid-January to speak with key legislators regarding "Small Business Lending Practices and Practical Solutions".
The Chairman and his team will be in The Capitol at the invitation of several Senators on the Senate Banking Committee as well as two important Members of Congress to discuss our program, Outsourced Analytics, with the House Committees on Small Business and Financial Services.
The program calls for banks and all lenders who may participate in any loan guarantee or bank insurance programs to require a business plan of all business loan applicants, other than those seeking credit cards, and to have those plans evaluated by a disinterested third-party.
Thomas Springer, Corporation Counsel, stated that this program is a possible solution to the dramatically rising small business failure rate, now at an estimated 81.1% of new businesses annually. He added "Our scoring system provides the banks and the loan applicant with a clear picture of the quality of the business plan. If the plan is not sufficient, it is not necessarily thrown out, but may be returned for corrections and rescored. A unique and positive approach giving small business owners a rare second chance to get it right."
Steven Acosta, Chief Operating Officer stated "Our upcoming program will spawn an entirely new industry, serving the needs of financial institutions and paving the way for a more prosperous future for smaller businesses in the US."

Dec 23, 2007, The Epicurus Group, an international consultancy has announced today from its offices in New Jersey that one of its primary websites, EpicurusConsulting.com (www.epicurusconsulting.com) is undergoing a intensive overall redesign.
The Chairman, Dr. Robert Angelone said "We are in the midst of a serious shift in our goals and objectives for the future. Looking to make The Epicurus Group grow, the Executive Committee determined that a site redesign was in order."
